I'm so happy with this book!, the techniques appear to be doable, the examples are beautiful ("murmuration" is my favorite), and instead of feeling overwhelmed I'm excited to try making one of my own.
Great book. It includes many different techniques, all with just enough detail to make someone want to explore and experiment. Well printed, with good pictures.
I like the book because it gave me new ideas to work with fabric and paints.
Gorgeous book! I got the Kindle version and the pages sre just like the book. I was going to deduct a star because the portrait view is half the size of normal Kindle books. However, turning it to landscape view makes it large. The advantage of the Kindle version is that it’s less expensive, I can carry it on phone to the craft store AND, I can zoom in for details you can’t get with a hard copy (believe me, I’ve tried to use my fingers to make paper pages bigger).
I was so thrilled when I first saw this book —I love to quilt but I like to embellish and this books shows you how to do both. I have copied a couple of her examples—they aren’t as good as the author’s but the finished product was satisfying. Her lessons are very clear and in these steps you’ll see that this is something that can be mastered. I have shown this book to every quilter or mixed media artist I know.
I really like this book. Lots a great ideas. Projects are small so you can try the techniques and not spend a lot of time or money on each project. Very do able projects that really inspired me.
